PERANCANGAN SISTEM INFORMASI PELAYANAN PASIEN RAWAT INAP BERBASIS WIRELESS LOCAL AREA NETWORK (WLAN)

Abstract

To speed up patient care, generally every hospital is always equipped with a nurse call system. But generally the nurse caller system used is still very conventional. By using an application that is used by patients who are hospitalized to call nurses and access medical record data and databases found on computers that are in the nurse station. When the patient registers for hospitalization, the patient data will be inputted to the database then given a username and password by the hospital officer. Patients install patient service applications on an android smartphone to log in. In order for the patient service application to be used, the patient's Android smartphone must be connected to the same wireless network as the database. After logging in, in the patient service application there are 8 choices with different commands and 1 choice to display the patient's medical record. If the patient presses one of the medical service buttons on the application's main menu, the command will be sent to the database to display the name, room and type of patient medical service on the monitor. When hospital staff periodically check patients, the data is entered into the database. After the patient's medical record data is inputted, the patient can access it through the patient service application. By using the patient service application, any medical assistance needed by the patient can be immediately recognized by the nurse on duty.
