Abstract

Abstract

Phenol is a compound that is toxic and corrosive to the skin and can cause human health problems to death in microorganisms. Various methods are used to remove phenol. One of them is adsorption by using activated carbon. Adsorption is a process of absorption by certain solids against certain substances that occur on the surface of solids due to the attraction of atoms or molecules on the surface of solids. This study aims to produce river water in accordance with river water quality standards and study the performance of activated carbon.
