Pengaruh Tekanan Dan Bentuk Pencetakan Terhadap Kualitas Biobriket Dari Campuran Biomassa Kulit Durian
Abstract
Biobricket is an alternative energy that can replace the role of kerosene. Biobricket is made from agricultural waste biomass. Durian leather has great potential to be used as raw material for making bio briquettes, considering that there are many durian leather waste in the city of Padang that has not been utilized. Durian peel bio briquette production required another mixture of biomass to maintain the duration of ignition because the peel bacillus durian quickly burned out. The stages of making durian peel briquettes are: drying materials, biomass carbonization, milling, adhesive mixing, and printing. Purpose of this research is to get a quality biobricket in terms of compressive strength, duration of ignition, and shape of biobricket. . The variations are the other types of biomass mix such as coconut shell and palm shell with 2 : 1 ratio, adhesive type used of starch, the pressure 60 kg/cm2 and 90 kg/cm2, shape of biobriket are ellipsoidal, cylinder and hollow cylinder. The results showed that the best compressive strength was durian and palm shell skin biobriket with a pressure of 90 kg / cm2 cylindrical shape with a value of 26,922 kg / cm2. The best density value is durian and coconut shell leather biobricket in the form of a pressure cylinder 90 kg /cm2 with a value of 0.66896 gr /cm3. Of the three forms of briquettes, it is best to form a cylinder.
