Abstract

Biogas Production from Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) was investigated by Dielectric Barrier Discharge (DBD) plasma system with applied voltage at 15-25 kV. The results indicated that Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) removal decreased with increasing the applied voltage. In this study, biogas productions such as hydrogen and methane were also studied.  The maximum production of hydrogen and methane are 6,98 mL/mL POME and 1,43 ml/ml POME, respectively.
