IMPLEMNETASI BUDAYA 5S (SEIRI, SEITON, SEISO, SEIKETSU, SHITSUKE) PADA AREA PROSES PEMBUATAN TAS

Abstract

The title of the research is the implementation of 5S culture (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, Shitsuke) in the bag manufacturing process area. 5S is a work attitude implementation program that emphasizes the management of organized physical conditions of the workplace. This study aims to identify the causes of waste in the bag manufacturing process area and apply the 5S culture to make improvements to existing waste. Roman Indah UKM is a bag manufacturing business, which produces various types of bags, such as backpacks, tote bags, map bags and salempang bags. The problems are the unorganized production process area which is result a build up and search of unnecesary equipment in bag production process area takes a long time .5S culture is needed as the result as neat arrangement production process area, finished product and equipment. The result of the highest score pareto diagram for identifying waste is the waste of delay with 26. Then, the occurance of delay waste cause is looked by using a fishbone diagram. After that the application of the 5S culture is carried out in the bag production process area. seiri stage performs sorting of goods, at the seiton stage organizes in the production process area, at the seiso stage which is cleaning in the work area, at the seiketsu stage carries out maintenance at the work area and at the seiketsu stage that is keeping the production process area organized.
