PERANCANGAN ALAT PENCETAKAN PADA INDUSTRI KECIL MENENGAH (IKM) KERUPUK LADU ARAI PINANG DENGAN PENDEKATAN ERGONOMI RULA DAN JOB STRAIN INDEX

Abstract

Small and medium industries (IKM) arai pinang crackers are home industries that were established in 2001. Previously, IKM only produced ladu crackers when it was going to be Lebaran alone, but now the demand is increasing. At this time, the arai pinang ladu crackers have been registered with the Department of Industry. The manufacturing process is still conventional. Production process time is very long, causing the operator to work for a long time, this will cause workers to get tired easily and have the potential risk of injury MSDs relating to information needs. The results of the existing conditions which show that the operating operator is now at a score of 7 shows that this condition is dangerous, so checks and changes are needed immediately (right away). Likewise with the assessment of the employment posture with the Job Strain Index with a JSI value of 16.5 operators 1 and 10.6 operators 2 which means the job is at hazardous or high risk level. Because of these problems the design of a new cracker printing tool was carried out by distributing the Nordic Body Map questionnaire to the responder. The results address the number of complaints that occur during the printing process in the upper body, with the initial printing conditions one by one with the draft proposal made once every 6 prints that can minimize processing time and the condition of the existing equipment now more ergonomic.
