Abstract

rom several studies that small food industries still use a lot of simple equipment in their production process. Where generally wasteful of energy, the process is relatively long and uncomfortable. A boiler as a steam generator that is used as an energy source is a production flow in a food industry or other industry because it has a very vital function in the production process. Water boilers produce water vapor which has high pressure. If a leak occurs, it can injure the operator's power and damage the surrounding environment. To solve the above problems, a boiler design method is used to meet the production needs of these crackers. By using ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) standards, the designed boiler is a fire pipe boiler. The boiler is planned in a vertical form with a steam capacity produced by 150kg / hour. The results of this design are: calculation of boiler construction with ASME design standards obtained data Boiler body Ø 600 mm, height 2000 mm, thickness 2.26 mm, fire pipe Ø 50.8 mm, height 1600 mm, thickness 1.27 mm, Tubesheet Ø 600 mm, thickness 4 , 92 mm.
