RANCANG BANGUN BUCKET ELEVATOR PADA ALAT PENGERING ALIRAN CAMPUR UNTUK MENGERINGKAN PADI
Abstract
West Sumatra Province has a large area, namely 42,297.30 km2 (4,297,300 ha), including 375 large and small islands. The livelihood of most of the residents in this province is as agriculture. With abundant agricultural products, sometimes not all of these agricultural products can be produced. This is because the drying process is still traditional with direct sunlight drying. With technological developments in the world of agriculture, a circulating drying machine was designed for drying rice. For the recirculation process, an automation system is used, namely by using a bucket elevator. In this research, the author wants to design, manufacture and test a bucket elevator to lift the grain that enters the elevator input funnel to the drying room by taking into account the bucket elevator displacement capacity based on the number of rice reservoirs. in the bucket, the power of the drive motor used and the selection of the supporting transmission, the targeted material moving capacity is 900 kg / hr. In the initial calculation of the bucket elevator, it is expected that the bucket volume is 0.14 kg, the speed of the flat belt is 0.376 m / s, with a displacement capacity of 900 kg / hour, the drive motor power is obtained at 1/4 HP, with a drive pulley diameter of 8 inches and The diameter of the pulley is driven by 2 inches and the rotation of the pulley cylinder is 112 rpmReferences
