PENGUNAAN METODE SIX SIGMA UNTUK MEMINIMASI BIAYA KUALITAS PADA CV. LAVERA KONVEKSI

Abstract

CV. LaveraKonveksi is a company engaged in convection which is located at Jln. SawahanIn IV No. 1 Padang. With a make to order system with a production target of approximately 1000 pcs in 1 month. The raw materials come from Bandung and Jakarta and are marketed in West Sumatra, Riau, Jambi. CV. LaveraKonveksi produces a variety of products such as t-shirts, shirts, sportswear, etc. During production, there are several obstacles that make it difficult for the company to compete in the market due to product defects during production before it reaches consumers, defective products such as: untidy stitches, screen printing. not neat, size and cutting are not in accordance with the standard. The DMAIC stage at six sigma begins with the define stage. The number of defects in the production period from January to mid-December is 304 units with an internal damage cost of Rp. 11,020,330.27. At the measure stage, the quality characteristic value is 3 and the average sigma level of the company is 3.84. Analyze stage found the causes of defects using the PDPC method in the form of machine factors and operator factors. At the improve stage, suggestions are made that can be applied in the form of conducting regular checks after operation, providing job training at the time of requitment, paying attention to machine maintenance so that the machine operates smoothly without problems, the ink used is of good quality and the control stage ensures the implementation recommended in well run company.
