Abstract

The development of making PCC using natural ingredients has been developed. Natural materials are used to develop the morphology and shape of the PCC so that it can be used by a variety of potential applications. In this study, aloe vera extract (Aloe Barbadensis Miller) was used as an additive for the synthesis of PCC. With the addition of aloe vera extract to the resulting PCC product, it was found that the aloe vera extract influenced the type of crystal to aragonite, the PCC yield obtained was 91% and the PCC particle size reached 1.4 μm.
