Abstract

Metal casting is a manufacturing process that uses liquid metal and mold for producing
parts with geometric forms of approaching the end of the finished product. Multiple use of
Aluminum in everyday life both in the household and industrial waste Aluminum will make
more and more. If this is not in the handle quickly then this waste will give a bad impact for
the environment. The molten metal is poured or pressed into a mold that has a cavity
according to the desired shape. This research will observe the influence of the temperature
of the pouring process that occurs in a special mold with casting or commonly called by
investment casting, the observations will be made considerations for improvement of the
process of pouring. The Material used is cast from aluminum scrap utilised, the mold is
mold the wax pattern with gypsum and discussion covering the process of pouring. From
the results of observation and visual analysis, the increasing temperature will cause the
surface pouring product became rough.
