RANCANGAN BANGUN TURBIN ULIR TIPE ARCHIMEDES UNTUK PEMBANGKIT LISTRIK
Abstract
Research Objectives Design and create a screw turbine tool with a screw-type turbine blade angle on a channel with a low pressure head. To be able to analyze the power generated according to the effect of the angle value on the pressure head and rotation. A hydraulic machine that converts hydraulic energy into mechanical energy is called a turbine, while a hydraulic machine that converts mechanical energy into hydraulic energy is called a pump. In Indonesia, there are many potential sources of water energy with a very low head or height (3 meters) that have not been widely used as energy sources due to the availability of technology that can utilize it. therefore, it is necessary to develop technology that can manage the potential of water energy sources with low heads. The type of turbine that is suitable for use at very low altitudes is the screw turbine type. Data on the design of the Archimedes turbine with a turbine angle of 15 °, a screw angle of 22 °, a turbine rotation speed of 31 RPM, a turbine diameter of 7 cm, a turbine shaft diameter of 2.3 cm, a turbine length of 77 cm, a turbine pitch of 24.38 mm, a turbine efficiency of 0.99, a river power potential of 280 watts, a turbine power design of 192.48 watts, a generator capacity of 500 watts. From the survey of water potential and head data, design calculations were carried out and technical specifications were produced and a screw type turbine tool product was produced. Initial data obtained were water potential with a speed of 0.9 m / s and a flow rate of 0.144 m3 / s at low head so that the water power potential was 280 Watts.
