ANALISA PENGARUH REDUKSI TERHADAP KEKUATAN TARIK KAWAT Ti6AI4V DALAM PROSES WIRE DRAWING DENGAN PELUMASAN OLI”
Abstract
Ti–6Al–4V is known as a mainstream biomedical titanium alloy for a long time. New types of alloys such as Ti– 6Al–7Nb and Ti–5Al–2.5Fe. However, it has recently been developed due to the problem of elemental toxicity in the Ti–6Al–4V alloy and the development of the required performance of the alloy. The effect of lubrication using the constant speed drawing method on the mechanical properties of titanium wire in the wire drawing process is why it is necessary to carry out a wire drawing test. In the wire pulling process, there are test results that the mechanics of Ti6AI4V wire with oil lubrication on the tensile strength are the lower the wire pulling speed during the pulling process. Tensile test break results (a) Specimen 1 reduction 1.9 has an elongation of 6,4% and a yield stress of 1013.78 N/mm2. (b) Specimen 2 with 1.8 reduction has an elongation of 7,6% and a yield stress of 1021.59 N/mm2. (c) Specimen 3 with 1.7 reduction has an elongation of 8,4% and a yield stress of 952.89 N/mm2. It can be concluded that control of the wire drawing speed in the reduction process has a significant impact on the mechanical properties of Ti6AL4V wire. The lower the drawing speed, the higher the mechanical properties, however, the ductility of the wire will decrease.References
