Abstract
PT AMP Plantation is one company engaged in oil palm plantations are located in the village of Kandis
Buts, District Pelambayan, Agam regency, West Sumatra. One problem that persists and is quite confusing the
manager of PT. AMP Plantation is why only a few employees work better than the other employees, to know that
one way to do is to dig and find out what are the factors that influence job satisfaction and what to do with the
motivation to work. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that cause the occurrence of employee
job satisfaction levels on employee motivation. The study was conducted to measure employee satisfaction using
a Likert scale based on the SERVQUAL. The factors used in this study is the motivation factors and satisfaction
factors which consisted of factors teamwork, employee job suitability factors, technological suitability factors
work, perceptions of control factor, factor surveillance system, the compensation factor. The results of this study
obtained 24 variables that influence satisfaction factors and variables that affect the 10 motivational factors.
Analysis of the data used by using path analysis with SPSS and the results showed that the most dominant factor
of satisfaction is compensated with variable levels of prizes and awards received if the work can be done well (
46.6 % ) and technology compatibility work with variables equipment and technologies that are applicable to
the type of work ( 44.7 % ).
