Perancangan Cetakan Briket Pada Mesin Pencetak Briket”
Abstract
The design of the briquette mold on the briquette molding machine aims to increase the efficiency of biomass briquette production as an alternative renewable energy. Biomass briquettes have great potential in reducing dependence on fossil fuels by utilizing organic waste such as sawdust and coconut shells. In this study, the briquette mold was designed in a cylindrical shape using ST 70-2 steel material which has high compressive strength and is corrosion resistant. The simulation process was carried out using SolidWorks 2020 software to analyze stress, displacement, strain, and safety factor on the mold and press shaft with a compressive force of 4000 N. The simulation results show that the design of the mold and press shaft is able to withstand the compressive load effectively without experiencing significant deformation. The safety factor (FOS) obtained is in the safe range for long-term use. The resulting briquettes have good density and combustion quality, thus increasing their utility as an alternative fuel. This design is expected to be a solution in the production of biomass briquettes with high quality and better efficiency, as well as contributing to reducing the use of fossil energy.Downloads
