Studi Eksperimen Pengaruh Jumlah Blade Terhadap Karakteristik Kerja Axial Fan Berprofil Curved Backward Berdiameter 120 mm
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of the number of blades on the working characteristics of a curved backward axial fan with a diameter of 120 mm. Axial fans are devices used to increase air flow rates with various applications, such as HVAC, electronic device cooling, and the automotive industry. Design parameters, such as the number of blades, affect the efficiency, flow rate, air pressure, and noise level of the fan. Experiments were conducted using two variations of the number of blades, namely 7 and 9 blades. Tests were carried out in pipes using measuring instruments such as wind tunnels, laser tachometers, and U manometers to measure air flow velocity, static pressure, and fan efficiency. The results showed that increasing the number of blades affected the increase in air pressure and fan efficiency, but could decrease the air flow velocity due to greater aerodynamic resistance. This study contributes to determining the optimal design of an axial fan based on the number of blades to achieve maximum efficiency. The results are expected to be a reference for the development of axial fan designs invarious industrial and electronic applications.Downloads
