RELAYOUT TATA LETAK FASILITAS UNTUK MEMINIMASI ONGKOS MATERIAL HANDLING
Abstract
CV. Citra Dragon is a company engaged in the field of agricultural equipment. One of the types of products that are manufactured Thresher. Preparation of production facilities in the CV. Citra Dragon looks less irregular and there are indications that the layout is now less than optimal conditions, such as; the flow of material back and forth (back tracking), work area and a less regular arrangement of the facilities are still a mess. It also raises the amount of material transfer distances and high costs for material handling costs (OMH). The purpose of this research is the improvement of the layout of production facilities to minimize material handling costs (OMH) based products Thresher. The final results obtained total floor area on the layout of the design of 456.05 with an efficiency of 39.51%. And the calculation of the total material handling costs in the design layout for Rp.206.628,5,- /month with an efficiency of 60.66%. Obtained difference in material handling costs on the existing layout to layout the design of Rp. 318 630,- /month, and the total efficiency of Rp.2.433.630,- /month, which is obtained from OMH efficiency and time efficiency of production..
