Abstract

West SumatraTanah Datarpandai Singkek Nagari area known as songket craft industry. From 1031 the house as much as 848 homes havet he same weaving tool. The weaving toolis comfortable to useis an important thing that should be considered by the owner or the company. Inprevious research has designed alternativethe weaving tool that have been  considered but have not been considered in terms ofergonomic balance between cost, reliability and performance of the designed weaving tool. Method engineering is highly  appropriate value for value engineering has advantages in determining the best alternative to controlling the cost of production that is used to value at he function of the product without losing the quality and reliability of the desired product. The results of this study  of selected design alternatives weaving tool determined based on the value and the highest performance of several alternative suggestions. Alternative  designs weaving tool are chosen alternative ADEFG (raw material of wood, Palanta dimensions according to the  average Indonesian worker antropemetri and can adjustable, high elbows paso minus 19.16 cm, the  distance queen approximated according fore hand's reach 76.32 cm) with value 1.786.
