Abstract

Traditional boatconsists of thekeel, ivorysandwallis a unity, so that peopleusinglarge-diameter timberin whichthe manufacturingis donetraditionally. Althoughthe potential ofwoodasthe main raw materialof traditionalboat buildingis stillwidely available, consideration ofefficiencyandsavingswhenwoodis alsoconsideredfor thefuture. In addition towoodin West Sumatraalsohas the potentialof bambooare abundant, wherebamboois alsoeasy toset upandcanbe usedas analternativematerialwallsboat. Butbambooalsohas ashortageofmechanical properties, therefore,tocover theshortcomingsaswallsboatit is necessarycoatedwithpolyesterresinandglassfibers. The purposeof makingthisboatwallwhichresulted inthe wallusing abambooboatsmearandfiberglassas reinforcementwithpolyesterresinas a binder. The process usedinthe manufacture ofboatsthatwallwithbamboodivision process, the process of switchingbambooframeintothe boat, and thelaminationprocess.
