Abstract

At this time the development of the industrial world of business more rapidly which requires
companies to be innovative and creative in order to survive competition. Basically rivalry is
commonplace and therefore efforts have been made in order to compete. Likewise faced by Small and
Medium Enterprises (UKM) / Industry Household should be able to survive so that their business does
not stop. Much can be done a domestic industry so that the business can operate continuously.
Currently bake sale father Yul Hasril brought traditional outlets in the form of a plastic container with
a large size and wrapped in accordance with the packaging and the buyer does not have special
packaging, cake unsold at that time will take home and will go on sale the next day and the traditional
market in other areas does not have a logo, the bake sale only market-traditional markets. So that the
execution of packaging design and logo in the development of UKM is to be able to enter the modern
market as a souvenir shop. Packaging design is based on seven tree diagram design, determination of
material characteristics and consumer demand. Logo designed by surve and demand of UKM with
propositional approaches density then the logo is designed to have five meanings and 4 elements with
the result of 1.25, where a good logo has propositional density above 1. Packaging has three
alternatives, the packaging was first elected based the results of the questionnaire to 30 respondents.
