IMPLEMENTASI MULTI CRITERIA DECISION MAKING UNTUK PENENTUAN ARAH PENGEMBANGAN POTENSI WISATA KABUPATEN KEPULAUAN MENTAWAI

Abstract

AbstrackIn the county tourist development Mentawai Islands is still a lack of attention from the local government, though the county tourism Mentawai Islands is one of the most visited destinations. Associated with this condition must forward the need for a breakthrough in improving the competitiveness of tourism in Mentawai islands. In connection with these efforts, the thesis explores the things that are the hallmark Mentawai Islands tourism sector once compiled direction utilization of tourism potential. The purpose of this study was to establish the potential tourist attraction Mentawai Islands and arrange direction utilization of the potential appeal of the Mentawai Islands for the future. The results of this study are: (1) Mentawai Islands tourism development districts directed at the potential appeal of the ease of accessibility, economic feasibility, social ad cultural impact, the attractiveness of the local market and the international market appeal. (2) Exploiting the potential appeal of the Mentawai Islands for the future, namely marine tourism, nature tourism and cultural tourism.
