Abstract

Composite materialshave been developedin a varietyof applications, by utilizing waste(biowaste) cow boneswereprocessed intopowderhydroxyapatiteas afillerbiocompositesandpowderborosilicateas a matrix, withthe variation of the grain sizehydroxyapatiteiegrain size<1 mm, 125μm, 63μm, made toget the valuebetter mechanicalpropertiesincludinghardnessandcompressive strength. HydroxyapatitebiocompositematerialofborosilicateShorehardnessvalues obtainedonspecimensbiocompositebestScleroscopewithvariations ingrain size63μmwith22.17 SHN,valueandthe highestvalue ofcompressive forceson specimenswith63μmgrainsize variationwiththe value of the highestvoltage of 8,52N/mm2. From thetest resultsabove showsvariations inthe grain sizehydroxyapatitegreatly affect thehardnessandcompressive strength.
