Abstract

 ABSTRACT

In dahlia tuber pulp fibers are about 3-5% of potentially converted to ethanol for antiseptic. The purpose of this research is to study the effect of the addition of acetic acid to the acquisition of glucose from the dregs of dahlia tubers, studying the ratio of yeast and dregs dahlia tubers to the acquisition of ethanol. This study vary the concentration of acetic acid and yeast. With acid variation 2, 3, and 4%, and yeast fermentation process with the addition of 4, 5 and 6% at the time of fermentation for 5 days. The results showed the concentration of 3% acetic acid gives the highest value for glucose that yeast concentration of 0.428% and 6% gave top marks to the acquisition of ethanol that is 67.5%.
