Abstract

Organic waste is waste that easily rot like food scraps, vegetables, dried leaves and so on. This rubbish can be further processed into compost, biogas and others. Biogas is one source of energy or fuel in the form of combustible gas and cheap. In this biogas research, use of raw materials such as organic waste, manure and bacteria with the amount of raw materials as much as 60 kg and the amount of bacteria as much as 10 liters. Variations in the amount of this raw material, obtained a comparison between fermentation time by the time the flame where the longer the fermentation time, the longer the flame produced. In the second week, the flames just 2 seconds, the third week of the fermentation process, a flame about 5 seconds and the fourth week, when the flame about 720 seconds or 12 minutes. Comparison between the pressure by the time the flame, where the higher the pressure the longer the fire can be lit. In the second week the pressure generated by 8 mmHg with flames about 2 seconds, the third week of the resulting pressure of 12 mmHg and a flame about 5 seconds. And the fourth week of the resulting pressure by 16 mmHg with flames about 720 seconds or 12 minutes. Thus, it can be concluded that the longer the fermentation time, the higher the pressure generated and the longer the time the flame.
