PENGARUH PARAMETER PROSES PEMESINAN BUBUT TERHADAP KEKASARAN PERMUKAAN PADA MATERIAL ST 37
Abstract
In the lathe machining process, parameters lathe machining process greatly affects the quality of the surface roughness of a product. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of process parameters of machining lathe which is the cycle (n), the motion eat (f), and the depth of cut (a) of the surface roughness at ST 37. The material machining process is done by differences in engine rpm, motion eat, and depth of cut of the workpiece ST 37 that has a diameter of 19 mm and is formed with a length of 100 mm. Then do the lathing process with a length of 80 mm. Once it is done by using a surface roughness testing of surface roughness test equipment (test equipment Roughness). The results showed that the higher the engine speed is done then the surface roughness values obtained will be lower while the higher meal motion and depth of the cut, the higher the value of surface roughness. For the lowest roughness values obtained at n = 910 rpm with f = 0.031 mm / rev with Ra = 1.32 μm at a = 0.25 mm. For the highest roughness values at n = 185 rpm with f = 0.038 mm / rev with Ra = 4.67 μm at a = 0.75 mm. The higher cutting forces obtained the roughness value generated would be even greater.
