Abstract


ABSTRAK

Hydrocracking process is the cracking reaction of such a vegetable oil into petroleum fraction by cracking hidrocarbon chain. Catalytic cracking of vegetable oil can produce gasoline, karosene and diesel oil using catalis and zeolit Y. Zeolite Y is an acidic compound having Si/Al ratio of between 3-6. Low ratio of Si/Al (≤ 3) in hydrocarbon cracking process the results in heavier. Meanwhile, if Si/Al rasio > 6 hydrocarbons craking process the results linghter. The charcteristis of zeolite Y which can cracking trigliceride into gasoling is having Si/Al rasio 4-5. Si/Al contain in zeolite can be determinad by varying the feed  and time of cristalization in the process manufacturing.
