Abstract

Preparation and toolholder Dynamometer testing performed to produce a measuring tool cutting forces on Freis conventional lathe using a strain gauge sensor. Strain gauge sensors used is the type of prisoner 350 ohm, which is mounted on a ring segidelapan that has been modified for a more accurate reading, the higher the degree  of  elasticity  of  the  material ring  then  the  reading will  be  more  accurate, the  working principle dynamometer  for  measuring  cutting  forces  is  the  mechanical  stress  on  the  rings  due  cutting  style,  the mechanical stress that occurs is measured using a strain gauge sensors in the form of voltage stress. In accordance with the testing mengamsumsikan lathing parameters Feeding = 0.67, rev / sec, n = 78 rpm, Ingestion = 2 mm, cutting time of 120 seconds, with the direction of cutting forces kekiti and to the right, the difference between the voltage before the funeral to funeral time values obtained Vab of 0.000029226 volts. The results obtained are converted in the form of force (N).
