PERANCANGAN TOOL HOLDER DYNAMOMETER UNTUK PENGUKURAN GAYA POTONG PADA MESIN BUBUT KONVENSIONAL
Abstract
The lathe is a machine tool that is used to form the workpiece by means of incisions. When turning process takes place, the material cut will produce cutting forces. The tools used to measure the cutting force that occurs is called a dynamometer. The constituent components in the manufacture of the dynamometer is a strain gauge, Wheatstone bridge, ampliflier and data acquisition. The objectives in the design of the dynamometer is designing a toolholder dynamometer to obtain functional specifications and geometric specifications by obtaining a technical drawing as a reference in the manufacturing process. Dynamometer is designed to determine the magnitude of cutting forces ), and style of eating
). The dynamometer consists of four rings oktogonal. Ring octagonal dynamometer manufactured by using the
aluminum surface of the top of the ring is made flat to put a strain gauge measuring instrument. Because of the cutting force, on the surface of the ring will cause strain on the strain gauge. The change in resistance of four strain gauge connected to form a Wheatstone bridge will cause imbalance resulting in differing voltages at both inputs. Dynamometer can measure a maximum load of 137.12 N. The dynamometer using the HSS with a chisel angle geometry . Dynamometer dimensions are 150 mm x 100 mm x 100 mm.
