Abstract

Solar power plant is preferred because it can be used in varied location from big building, house hold, and road. Solar
power plant is a system that conversed solar energy became electricity trough photovoltaic cell that can be stored in batteries and ready to use. The limitation of using solar power plant is due to the expensive of investing in building of the system. Campus II University of Bung Hatta depend on the electric source that supplied by the electricity national company that own by the Indonesian Government. It is a good idea to combine the using of electricity from the electricity national company with solar power plant, even though need an effort to invest in big amount of money in investing. It has been calculated that the electricity load in Block A and B Campus II is around 131.737,2 Watt. The total capacity load of solar power plant is 210.779,52 Wp with amount of investing around Rp 23.229.400.00,- with cost per year is Rp 1.417.764.800,-. Compared to using of electricity from the electricity national company cost per year is Rp 449.160.000,-  so total cost for 20 years is Rp 8.983.200.000,-.
