Abstract

Early childhood is the golden age, the children developed very fast in terms of physical, cognitive, emotional and social. This will greatly affect the future of the child later. Kindergarten as an educational institution early childhood (4-6 years) is school to help provide stimulus during child development. Factors that play a role in supporting the development of children in kindergarten is the quality of teachers, program activities and physical environment including color elements. Colors in the classroom can play a role in supporting the learning process of children, so this study aims to identify the colors used in the interior space early childhood learning and explore the influence of these colors against the interest of children to early childhood learning processes. This study takes a case study some kindergartens in Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta. Data is collected by observation in the interior space and interview a child learning to teachers and school administrators. The method used to analyze data is a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods. Hopefully this research can recommend interior design space early childhood learning, especially in the use of color elements.
