ABSTRAK
The purpose of this study are (1) To analyze the level of satisfaction of tourists visiting the tourist area of Mandeh. (2) Analyze appropriate strategies for developing Mandeh tourist areas. This research is exploring (digging) and formulating straetgi based on internal condition in the form of strength (Strenght) and weakness (Weaknes) owned and external situation, in the form of opportunities and threats in developing marine tourism in Mendeh region. The location of this research is in the objective of the tourist area of Mandeh Subdistrict Koto XI Tarusan Pesisir Selatan Regency. The sample of research taken as many as 45 respondents that tourists who have been to tourist area Mandeh. The main findings of the study showed the natural attractions to be a tourist attraction to visit the tourist area of Mandeh, while the inhibiting facilities are facilities and infrastructure MCK, garbage disposal facilities and facilities where the sale of souvenirs less baik.Strategi perioritas the development of tourist areas mandeh based on SWOT analysis is the diving and snorkeling, constructing MCK facilities, hygiene facilities, healthcare and souvenir shops, increasing tourism promotion, building cooperation network with other tourist locations and
