(1990). In the construction process cannot be separated from the management, where management is the
process of planning, organizing, leading and controlling the activities of members and resources,
Suharto, I (1997). Material control management is one of the ways to control the smoothness of material
procurement, it is necessary to use good and proper management techniques in buying, storing,
distributing and calculating materials, Pramono Y, et al (2014). However, the lack of implementation of
material control management: delays in material delivery resulted in increased project costs, Raharjo F
(2007). Run out of stock material caused it cannot continue to work, Lolo C.A, (2017). Material
procurement is done during construction, so it is prone to quality assurance, Sholeh MS, et al, (2014).
The rented quarry does not fit so contractors bring aggregate from elsewhere that do not meet the
standards, Lake A.G, et al (2017). Project activities are defined as a temporary activity that lasts for a
limited time, with a certain allocation of resources and is maximized to carry out tasks whose targets
have been clearly outlined and agreed, Soeharto, I (1997). Therefore, in order to run efficiently and
efficiently, it is necessary : identification of project delays caused by material, determining the dominant
factors causing material delays, determining stages of material procurement and project
implementation.The method in this research is a descriptive method with the quantitative and qualitative
approach. Data sources use primary and secondary data. Expected results: know the cause of project
delays caused by material, get the dominant factor causing material delay, knowing good and correct
material procurement mechanisms in project implementation.
