IDENTIFIKASI KONDISI JARINGAN IRIGASI D.I. AIR SANTOK TERHADAP KETERSEDIAAN AIR SAWAH KOTA PARIAMAN

Abstrak

Water is one of the most important natural resources for life, so its use and maintenance should
be used as well as possible. One type of utilization of water resources is the use of irrigation
water, both for the water needs of rice fields and fish pond utilization. Santok Water Dam is one
of the big enough weir in Pariaman City, Located in Santok District of East Pariaman with
Batang Piaman water source with long river 12 km. The total area of Santok Irrigation Area
water service is about 667 Ha. To be able to irrigate rice fields, in addition to adequate water
discharge is also required network of both the secondary and tertiary channel carriers are
optimal to bring water from the source (bendung) to the rice field area and continued excess
water will be forwarded by existing sewer or drainage urban networks. Currently, the flow of
water that flows on the water channel of Santok irrigation is not in accordance with the planned
debit of 80% efficiency is suspected due to some problems such as sedimentation, channel
damage and water retrieval that is not in place. Therefore this study aims to identify the condition
of irrigation channel DI Air Santok and find a solution to repair the damage that may occur
along the channel.
