PENGARUH KEPEMIMPINAN TRANSFORMASIONAL DAN KEPIMPINAN PERUBAHAN TERHADAP KOMITMEN PADA PERUBAHAN DI KALANGAN PEGAWAI PEMERITAHAN NAGARI KAB. PESISIR SELATAN
Abstrak
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship between the leadership style ofsuperiors and commitment to change of employees on public sector organizations. The paper
wants to know which style of leadership is appropriately used between transformational
leadership and change leadership to increase employees’ commitment to change on public sector
organization in Pesisir Selatan regency. A quantitative survey was conducted on 50 respondents
and obtained 36 complete questionnaires for use in the sutdy. The results suggest that
transformational leadership is the right leadership style to increase employees’ commitment to
change on public sector organization in Pesisir Selatan regency. In this study, change leadership
has a negative impact on employees’ commitment to change. So it is not appropriate to use on
employee in public sector organization especially in Pesisir Selatan regency. With a R square
value of 44,5%, it can be concluded there are still other variables that can explain the problem of
commitmet to change other than the two independent variables in this study.
