ASPEK BUDAYA DALAM PELESTARIAN LUBUK LARANGAN DI KOTA PADANG PANJANG

Abstrak

Various survey results mention that the main cause of river pollution is the behavior of people who
throw garbage carelessly, throwing dirt / faeces into the river and exploiting the river without considering
the impact on the natural environment. Therefore, it is necessary to secure the river and preserve fish in the
river. The existence of Lubuk Banangan Ngalau and Koto Katik by the people of Padang Panjang Timur
District is a form of river security and as a form of preservation of local fish. Problem formulation in this
research is how the cultural aspects in the preservation of the ban and how the strategy of policy
development of local wisdom lubuk ban in the District Padang Panjang East. This research is a qualitative
research using descriptive method. The results showed that the management of Lubuk Larangan in Padang
Panjang Timur District can be seen through six aspects of culture in accordance with EB Taylor theory,
namely: knowledge, belief, art, morals, customary law, and other abilities and habits. Based on the results
of SWOT analysis can be determined the policy in the development of Lubuk Larangan management as
follows: Optimizing the management of the allocation of funds, Improving knowledge of the importance of
conservation to the community, Improvement of publications, Approach to the community, Ease of access
to the location and Improvement of waste management rules in the prohibition area.
