Abstrak

This study survey the commitment to change among pra-school teachers in Indonesia. Specifically, this
study aims to investigate the effect of servant leadership on commitment to change. Besides, this study
also determine the role of optimism as mediating variabel between servant leadership and commitment
to change. Using 31 final respondents and smart-pls, we find that there is a positive relationship
between servant leadership and optimism. In addition, optimism also have a positive effect on
commitment to change. However, the effect of servant leadership on commitment to change is not
significant. Finally, the role of optimism as mediating variabel between servant leadership and
commitment to change is documented. The implication of the study is disccussed in detail.
