Pengaruh Cognitive Flexibility terhadap Resistance to Change

Abstrak

This study aims to examine the influence of cognitive flexibility on resistance to change
among agricultural extension officers who working in new situations both on an official basis
and on duty in the field. The object of this research is agricultural extension workers in
Pasaman Regency. Total population is 40 workers. Data collection was carried out by
distributing 40 questionnaires and 40 respondents returned the questionnaires. Structural
equation model (smart-pls) is applied to analyse the data. Measurement model and strucutral
model were evaluated before presenting the causal effect. The result shows the effect of the
cognitive flexibility on affective resistance is not significant and therefore, the first hypothesis
is rejected. In addition, the relatioship between cognitive flexibility and cognitive resistance is
positive significant and however, it is constrast to the second hypothesis and H2 is also rejected.
The study has a practical and theoritical contribution, and it is disccussed.
