PENANGANAN COVID-19 DENGAN REKAYASA GENETIK MELALUI TERAPI SEL INDUK DALAM SUDUT PANDANG BERBEDA

Abstrak

Covid-19 outbreak has now spread to many countries including Indonesia. The Chinese researchers claim Corona Virus patients can be cured after being given stem cell therapy, but the way the treatment is still considered controversial according to clinical trials of the WHO. This study’s aim is know about the view of several aspects of life on the Covid-19 treatment with stem cell.

The study used literature study method. The concluded is the implementation of treatment of Covid-19 patients with stem cell therapy through ethical marrow can be done because the basic principles of biomedical ethics is beneficence and justice. According to Islamic religious views are allowed because of its glorious to save the lives of others as long as not to be commercialized. Based on existing legislation in Undang-undang Kesehatan No 36 tahun 2009, the treatment of Covid-19 with a marrow transplant with humanitarian purpose and is forbidden to be commercialized. Transplant from an ethical standpoint of medicine in Peraturan Pemerintah Republik Indonesia Nomor 18 Tahun 1981 can be done in accordance with the ethics of Indonesian medicine. 

Implementation of treatment of Covid-19 patients with stem cell therapy through marrow transplantation from the standpoint of ethics, religion, positive and ethical medicine to save the lives of others with humanitarian goals appropriate with the prevailing laws and regulations in Indonesia.
