OPTIMALISASI PEMANFAATAN RTH IMAM BONJOL SEBAGAI RUANG PUBLIK DI KOTA PADANG
Abstrak
Green Open Space Imam Bonjol is one of the city's public open spaces that serves as a forum for social activities for the community. In addition to social functions, Green Open Space Imam Bonjol also has other functions, namely ecological and economic functions. Considering the important role of the presence of Green Open Space Imam Bonjol in an urban area, a public open space must be designed taking into account the elements forming the urban space in order to function as it should. Likewise with Green Open Space Imam Bonjol, which is the center of social activity for the people in it. However, in reality, the social activities taking place in the Green Open Space Imam Bonjol are still relatively small. This study aims to examine the elements forming city space on the Green Open Space Imam Bonjol, namely land use, building shape and mass, circulation and parking, open space, pedestrian paths, markers, support activities and to examine the functions and activities that occur in the Green Open Space Imam Bonjol using phenomenological qualitative analysis method that is studying and understanding events that occur in the field qualitatively by understanding the phenomena that exist. This research method takes data through field observation by taking data in the form of photos, work drawings of Green Open Space Imam Bonjol as well as analyzing the functions and activities as well as the capabilities of the elements forming the city space on the Green Open Space Imam Bonjol. The results of the discussion illustrate that the lack of community social activities that occur in the Green Open Space Imam Bonjol is caused by the elements forming the urban space in the Green Open Space Imam Bonjol that is not good enough and still needs to be improved, the facilities and infrastructure supporting the Green Open Space Imam Bonjol as a public space are still minimal and the range of activities which is offered in the Green Open Space Imam Bonjol is still small.
