ANALISIS AKTIVITAS DAN TEKANAN PENDUDUK TERHADAP KUALITAS AIR DI DAERAH ALIRAN SUNGAI ARAU
Abstrak
Arau Watershed is one of the watersheds in Padang covering an area of 17,424 Ha which stretches from the upstream (bordering the Solok Regency) and downstream empties into the Indian Ocean. The decline in the level of water quality in the Arau River Basin is feared because of the development of the population and human activities in it. This study aims to analyze the relationship between population pressure and activities that occur in the Arau watershed area on water quality. The method used is descriptive qualitative with spatial analysis, literature studies, reports from relevant agencies, journals and articles related to watershed management and water quality. Based on the number of population and human activities in land use, water quality data at the three locations of the Arau Watershed (upstream, middle and downstream), based on Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 82 of 2001, using several parameters in the upper watershed watershed area better compared to the downstream watershed area.
