PENGEMBANGAN KAWASAN KONSERVASI PENYU SEBAGAI EKOWISATA BERBASIS MASYARAKAT

Abstrak

This research is a study on the development of turtle conservation as an ecotourism in meeting the socio-economic value of the local community by various ways of developing and managing a turtle conservation area. The purpose of this study is to describe what is meant by turtle conservation and how to develop and manage it towards ecotourism. This study conducted journals review study, each of which used the development of a different conservation area with the same goal, namely from the first journal review showing the natural condition of the attractive Pangumbahan Beach to be one of the tourist attractions that provide public education to keep preserving sea turtles with various effort to see the process of hatching and hatchlings as a sustainable tourist attraction for the development of ecotourism. The second journal shows that the turtle conservation area can be developed as an educational recreation tour to attract tourist in the City of Pariaman. Whereas the third journal research is a real action in protection for sea turtles, namely by carrying out special activities of sea turtles so as to achieve a conservation area management strategy that further strengthens the image of the area as a turtle conservation location and tourist area.
