The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in students' motivation and learning outcomes using Improved Learning Strategy Thinking Skills (SPPKB). This type of research the researchers used in this study is action research (PTK). Subjects in this study were fourth grade students of SDN 16 Lubuk Begalung South Coastal South, totaling 22 students. Based on the results of the study can be seen that the average percentage of students 'motivation in answering the question that is 59.08% in the first cycle increased to 74.99% in the second cycle, students' motivation in asking keterlibata ie 47.72% in the first cycle increased to 70 , 45% in the second cycle, and the motivation of the students in paying attention to the teacher that is 69.95% in the first cycle increased to 77.25% in the second cycle. And mastery learning outcomes of students increase in cycle 1 is 59.09%, the second cycle is 81.81%. From the results of this study concluded that in learning science through learning Upgrades Thinking Strategies (SPPKB) can increase students' motivation fourth grade SDN 16 Lubuk Begalung South Coast. Based on the research results, it is suggested that teachers can implement Improved Learning Strategy Thinking Skills (SPPKB) well in science teaching in accordance with the material being taught.
