PENINGKATAN PARTISIPASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS IV B DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPS MELALUI STRATEGI CROSSWORD PUZZLE DI SDN 31 KUMPULAN BENANG KABUPATEN PESISIR SELATAN

This research  of  background overshadow by lack of result and participation learn student  at  study of IPS, and also the lack of media used to assist study process. Target of this research is to participation mendeskripsikan and result learn student  in  class of IV B SDN 31 Kumpulan Banang Air Haji by using strategy of Crossword Puzzle  at  study of IPS. Type Research  is  research of class action performed within two cycle, subjek of this research  is  class student of IV B SDN 31 Corps of Banang Irrigate Haji amounting to 27 people. Research instrument which  is  used in this research  is  student participation observation sheet, aspect observation sheet learn and cognate assessment sheet, sheet assessment of and afektif of tes result of learning student. Result of research indicate that percentage of student participation  at  cycle of I that is 60,17% mounting to become 80,54%  at  cycle of II, student participation  at  cycle of I that is 61,10% mounting to become 81,47%  at  cycle of II, participation  have student cooperation  to   at  cycle of I that is 59,25% mounting to become 79,62%  at  cycle of II, result of learning cognate  at  I silkus that is 57,46% mounting to become 77,77%  at  cycle of II, assessment of afektif  at  cycle of I that is 57,22% mounting to become 76,16%  at  cycle of II. Pursuant to research can be concluded that by using strategy of Crossword Puzzle can improve result and participation learn student. Researcher suggest that teacher earn strategy use of Crossword Puzzle made one of  the  alternative in study of IPS  so that/ to be  pleasant study and  do  not make bored student.
