Struktur Vegetasi Hutan Mangrove di Desa Maileppet Kecamatan Siberut Selatan Kabupaten Kepulauan Mentawai

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis struktur vegetasi hutan mangrove di Desa Maileppet Kecamatan Siberut Selatan Kabupaten Kepulauan Mentawai yang meliputi jenis, kerapatan, frekuensi, dominasi dan indeks nilai penting mangrove yang ada di daerah penelitian. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan April – Mei 2017. Metode yang digunakan adalah  metode transek kuadrat yang diambil pada 3 (tiga) transek atau lokasi penelitian. Untuk mangrove tingkat pohon diambil ukuran dalam transek plot 10 x 10 m, mangrove tingkat anakan 5 x 5 m dan mangrove tingkat semai 1 x 1 m. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ditemukan 3 famili 6 spesies mangrove yaitu Arecaceae (Nypa fruticans). Combretaceae (Lumnitzera littorea). Rhizophoraceae (Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, Ceriops tagal Rizhophora apiculata, dan Rizhophora mucronata). Indeks nilai penting mangrove tingkat pohon yaitu  B. gymnorrhiza 32,94%. C. tagal, 26,77%. L. littorea 19,87%. R. apiculata 99,53%. R. mucronata 120,89%. Indeks nilai penting mangrove tingkat anakan yaitu B. gymnorrhiza 27,38%. C. tagal 18,35%. L. littorea 3,30%. R. apiculata 119,74%. R. mucronata 130,22%.  Indeks nilai penting mangrove tingkat semai yaitu B. gymnorrhiza 33,27%. C. tagal 3,42%. N. fruticans 2,07%. R. apiculata 40,43%.  R. mucronata 120, 80 %. Kerapatan (pohon/ha) mangrove pada 3 transek dengan 42 plot adalah 1500 (pohon/ha). Tergolong dalam kriteria sangat padat dengan kerapatan ≥ 1500 (pohon/ha).

The purpose of this study was to identification and analyzed structure of the vegetation of mangrove forest in the Maileppet village, sub-districts of South Siberut Mentawai island, which includes the type, density, frequency, dominance and index the value of mangroves in the research area. The researh carried out on April to May 2017 using quadratic transect method taken at 3 (three) transect or location research. For mangroves the tree level is taken size in the transect plot 10 x 10 m, mangrove level of sapling 5 x 5 m and the level of seedling is 1 x 1 m. The result showed that 3 family 6 species mangrove is Arecaceae (Nypa fruticans). Combretaceae (Lumnitzera littorea). Rhizophoraceae (Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, Ceriops tagal, Rizhophora apiculata and Rizhophora mucronata). Important value index of mangroves the tree level is B. gymnorrhiza 32,94%. C. tagal 26,77%. Density (trees/ha) of mangrove at three transects with 42 plot is 1500 (trees/ha). Belongs to the criteria is very dense with density ≥ 1500 (tree/h)
