Penggunaan Air Kelapa Untuk Jantanisasi Larva Ikan Nila (Oreochromis niloticus) Dengan Waktu Perendaman Yang Berbeda

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan air kelapa untuk jantanisasi larva ikan Nila (Oreochromis niloticus) dengan waktu perendaman yang berbeda meliputi persentase jantan, kelangsungan hidup dan pertumbuhan. Penelitian dilakukan bulan Maret - Mei 2017 di Laboratorium Terpadu Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu Kelautan Universitas Bung Hatta, Padang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Adapun perlakuan penelitian ini, perlakuan A = tanpa perendaman air kelapa, perlakuan B = perendaman selama 8 jam, perlakuan C = perendaman selama 12 jam, perlakuan D = perendaman selama 16  jam. Adapun hasil penelitian yang didapat pada penelitian ini adalah persentase jantanisasi tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan B perendaman selama 8 jam yaitu 79,98 % dan yang terendah terdapat pada perlakuan A tanpa perendaman air kelapa yaitu 60,68 %, kelangsungan hidup tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan A tanpa perendaman air kelapa yaitu 58,67% dan terendah terdapat pada perlakuan D perendaman selama 16 jam yaitu 31,33 %, untuk pertumbuhan berat mutlak tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan B perendaman selama 8 jam yaitu 3,03 gram dan terendah terdapat pada perlakuan A tanpa perendaman air kelapa yaitu 2,68 gram, sedangkan untuk pertumbuhan panjang mutlak tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan B perendaman selama 8 jam yaitu 3,13 mm dan yang terendah terdapat pada perlakuan D perendaman selama 16 jam. Kualitas air selama penelitian masih layak untuk kegiatan budidaya yang mana didapat, suhu berkisar antara 270C - 280C, DO berkisar antara 4,8-6,5 dan pH berkisar antara 7-7,5.

                                                                                    ABSTRACT

 

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of coconut water use for the Nila fish larvae (Oreochromis niloticus) with different immersion times including male percentage, survival and growth. The study was conducted from March to May 2017 at the Integrated Laboratory of the Fisheries and Marine Sciences Faculty of Bung Hatta University, Padang. The method used is the experimental method with Completely Randomized Design which consists of 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment in this study, treatment A = without immersion of coconut water, treatment B = soaking for 8 hours, treatment C = immersion for 12 hours, treatment D = immersion for 16 hours. The result of this research is the highest percentage sex reversal of male found in treatment of soaking B for 8 hours that is 79,98% and the lowest is in treatment A without water immersion of coconut that is 60,68%, the highest survival is in treatment A without Soaking of coconut water that is 58,67% and the lowest is at treatment of D immersion for 16 hours that is 31,33%, for the highest absolute weight growth there is at treatment of soaking B for 8 hours that is 3.03 gram and the lowest is in treatment A without immersion Coconut water that is 2.68 grams, while for the highest absolute long growth is found in the treatment of soaking B for 8 hours is 3.13 mm and the lowest is in the treatment of D immersion for 16 hours. Water quality during the study was feasible for cultivation activities where water quality was obtained, temperatures ranging from 270C-280C, DO ranged between 4.8-6.5 and pH ranged from 7-7,5.
