Struktur Vegetasi Hutan Mangrove di Desa Saliguma Kecamatan Siberut Tengah Kabupaten Kepulauan Mentawai

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis struktur vegetasi hutan mangrove di Desa Saliguma Kecamatan Siberut Tengah Kabupaten Kepulauan Mentawai yang meliputi jenis, kerapatan, frekuensi, dominasi dan indeks nilai penting mangrove.Penelitian telah dilakukan pada bulan April – Mei 2017. Metode yang digunakan adalah  metode transek kuadrat yang diambil pada 3 (tiga) transek penelitian. Untuk mangrove tingkat pohon diambil ukuran dalam transek plot 10 x 10 m, tingkat anakan 5 x 5 m, dan  tingkat semai 1 x 1 m. Hasil pengamatan yang telah dilakukan pada 3 lokasi transek penelitian di kawasan Desa Saliguma Kecamatan Siberut Tengah Kabupaten Kepulauan Mentawai, ditemukan 4 famili dengan 7 spesies mangrove yaitu; Arecaceae (Nypa fruticans), Combretaceae (Lumnitzera littorea), Meliaceae (Xylocarpus granatum) dan Rhizophoraceaea (Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora mucronata, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza dan Ceriops tagal) Yang terdapat dalam transek penelitian ditemukan 1 famili dengan 4 spesies yaitu; Rhizophoraceaea (R. apiculata, R. mucronata,B. gymnorrhiza dan C. tagal). Indeks nilai penting mangrove tingkat pohon yaitu;R. apiculata135,99%, R. mucronata99,15%,B. gymnorrhiza59,72% danC. tagal5,14%. Indeks nilai penting mangrove tingkat anakan yaitu;R. apiculata126,30%, R. mucronata121,85%, B. gymnorrhiza46,97% danC. tagal4,88%. Indeksnilai penting mangrove tingkat semai yaitu;R. mucronata152,82%, R. apiculata28,70% dan B. gymnorrhiza18,48%.Kerapatan rata-rata (pohon/ha) mangrove pada 3 transek dengan 42 plot adalah 1700 (pohon/ha). Tergolong dalam kriteria sangat padat dengan kerapatanbaku ≥ 1500 (pohon/ha).

ABSTRACT

This research aims to identify and analyze the structure of mangrove forest vegetation in Saliguma Village, Central Siberut District, Mentawai Islands Regency covering the type, density, frequency, dominance and index of important value of mangrove. The research was conducted in April - May 2017. The method used was the quadratic transect method taken on 3 (three) research transects. For mangroves the tree level was taken in plot 10 x 10 m transect, 5 x 5 m sapling level, and seedling level 1 x 1 m. Results of observations that have been done at 3 research transect locations in the area of Saliguma Village, Central Siberut District, Mentawai Islands Regency, found 4 families with 7 species of mangrove that is; Arecaceae (Nypa fruticans), Combretaceae (Lumnitzera littorea), Meliaceae (Xylocapus granatum) and Rhizophoraceaea (Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora mucronata, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza and Ceriops tagal). In the research transect, was found 1 family with 4 species is; Rhizophoraceaea (R. apiculata, R. mucronata, B. gymnorrhiza and C. tagal). Importance index of tree level mangrove that is; R. apiculata 135.99%, R. mucronata 99.15%, B. gymnorrhiza 59,72% and C. tagal 5,14%. Important value index of mangrove sapling level is; R. apiculata 126,30%, R. mucronata 121,85%, B. gymnorrhiza 46,97% and C. tagal 4,88%. Important value index of mangrove seedling level is; R. mucronata 152,82%, R. apiculata 28,70% and B. gymnorrhiza 18,48%. The average density (tree / ha) of mangrove on 3 transects with 42 plots is 1700 (tree / ha). Classified in very dense criteria with raw density ≥ 1500 (tree / ha).
