Abstract

Abstract

Male guppies much in demand by the public, because the look and shape of the tail guppy males were more interesting and diverse than the female guppy. Sex differentiation is the process of gonad development in fish tissue defenitif (certainly). An individual at the beginning of its development will change or differentiate into male or female depends on the presence and absence of testosterone. Honey bees are a mixture of sugars and other compounds, and the compounds it contains chrysin which serves as aromatase inhibitors (reduce the amount of estrogen in the body). This study aims to get the best soaking time for the parent guppies (Poecilia reticulata) by immersion in a solution of honey dose of 50 ml/L to achieve optimization directives male sex. The study was conducted experimentally with Complete Randomized Design (CRD). Parent pregnant guppy fish marinated with shootout dose 50 ml/L with immersion time 10, 15, 20, and 25 hours. Percentage of baby fish guppy types identified through the Observation of the morphology after 30 days. The results showed that the optimum soaking time with honey dose of 50 ml/L is for 20 hours, which produces the highest percentage of male sex (66.67%) compared to the other long soaking time and the average SR (94.84% - 98.96%). Results of analysis of variance showed no significant difference with the hit F (1,32) <F tab (4,07). It can be concluded that the optimization is the optimum soaking honey for 20 hours and the length of immersion did not affect survival rates in puppies guppy fish.
