Abstract

Abstract
This study aimed to determine the effect the use of Micro-Organisms Local (MOL) in the
waste feed cabbage on the survival and growth of seed length catfish (Clarias sp). The
research was conducted in the Laboratory of Integrated Fisheries and Marine Sciences
Faculty of the University of Bung Hatta, Padang. The fish samples used the seed catfish
(Clarias sp) 300 tail, the fish kept in aquariums with a size of 80 x 35 x 32 by 12 pieces. The
food is given the test fish flour food form. Feeding the adlibitum and given 3 times a day. The
method used this study is an experimental method using a completely randomized design with
3 treatments and 4 replications. A treatment (without the addition of Feeding Local Micro
Organisms (MOL), treatment B (Micro-feeding organisms are added Local (MOL) 0.10 ml /
10g feed), treatment C (Feeding added Local Micro Organisms (MOL) 0 , 15 ml / 10 g feed),
and treatment D (Micro-feeding organisms are added Local (MOL) 0.20 ml / 10g feed).
Results showed that the addition of Local Micro Organisms (MOL) to feed the catfish seed
viability (Clarias sp) show the highest results in the treatment of C (98.66%), followed by
treatment B (96%), D (94.66%), and A (93.33%). while growth is highest in absolute term C
treatment that is 3.9 cm with a feed supplemented Local Micro Organisms (MOL) doses of
0.15 ml/10g feed, while the lowest was on treatment A is 2.5 cm.
Key words : Waste of cabbage, Local Micro Organisms (MOL), Clarias sp.
