STUDI PENDUGAAN STOK IKAN TONGKOL (Euthynnus sp.) YANG DIDARATKAN DI UPTD PELABUHAN PERIKANAN PANTAI CAROCOK TARUSAN, KABUPATEN PESISIR SELATAN

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the result of catch effort, the potential of maximum sustainable yield (MSY), and the level of resource utilization. This is a descriptive study which the data were analyzed using surplus production method with Schaefer Model. The result showed that according to the data of tuna production from 2014-2020, the catch per unit effort (CPUE) of tuna increased by 0.42 ton/unit in 2018 and decreased by 0,13 ton/unit in both 2015 and 2017. The value of the potential of maximum sustainable yield (MSY) was calculated as 800 tons with an optimum fishing effort (Fopt) of 4,100 units, while the level of resource utilization had been in the highest increase by 1.20% in 2020 and declined by 0.38% in 2017.
