STRUKTUR KOMUNITAS MANGROVE DI PULAU KAPO-KAPO KAWASAN MANDEH KABUPATEN PESISIR SELATAN

Abstract

Mangrove community structure is forest vegetation that grows between the tidal and low tide lines, which has a role in protecting the shoreline from exposure to waves that cause abrasion. This study aims to identify mangrove species and mangrove community structures that include relative density, relative frequency, relative dominance, and important value index. This study uses a descriptive method by obtaining primary data in the field, transect determination in this study using transect method of lines and plot examples. Identified 3 mangrove species namely 1) Rhizophora apiculata, 2) Sonneratia casseolaris sp, and 3) Lumnitzera.littorea. The species of Rhizophora apiculata sp is the most dominating species of tree level, saplings, and seedlings.
